Our Mission Statement

Our goal is to create a world where simple, sustainable, and modular construction allows architecture to make a positive contribution to the environment, society, and economy. We view affordable housing as a fundamental prerequisite for social justice and community cohesion. The following principles guide our work:

  1. Simplicity: We design and build functional and aesthetic structures with the aim of providing an alternative to the increasing complexity in construction. Simplicity combines high living comfort, cost savings, and scalability.
  2. Sustainability: We are committed to selecting materials that are environmentally friendly, recyclable, or biodegradable. We emphasize energy efficiency, water conservation, and CO2 neutrality throughout the construction process.
  3. Modularity: We focus on modular systems that adapt to changing needs, can be flexibly expanded or deconstructed, and minimize resource consumption. For us, modular construction represents adaptability, reuse, and functional flexibility. 
  4. Circular Economy: We minimize construction waste and even utilize debris as material for new builds. Wherever possible, components should be reusable or recyclable. We advocate for a systemic shift in the construction industry towards circular practices, ensuring resources are used within a closed-loop system.
  5. Affordability: We believe that affordable housing should be accessible to everyone. By combining simplicity, modularity, and sustainable, recyclable materials, we create cost-efficient solutions that make quality housing affordable. Our aim is to foster social and economic access to housing that meets the needs of our society.
  6. Regional Focus: We promote the use of regional materials and labor to support local economies and reduce the ecological footprint. Construction should reflect the cultural and natural environment while addressing the needs of people and the planet. 
  7. Durability: We design our buildings with longevity in mind. Even as the functions of buildings evolve, the use of high-quality, recyclable materials and adaptable modular structures ensures usability for generations to come. 
  8. Participation: We build with and for people. Our architecture fosters community and collaboration. We believe in a strong civic community that shares our values and supports our initiatives. Building is a collective act that strengthens social cohesion.
  9. Knowledge Transfer: We see construction projects as an opportunity to share and pass on knowledge. Sustainable, modular construction is a continuous learning process driven by research and innovation. We are committed to exploring and implementing new techniques and construction methods under our motto: BUILD.FUTURE.SIMPLE. 
  10. Networking: We foster cooperation and build networks centered around construction. We create multifunctional spaces that support sustainable neighborhoods. Across boundaries, we connect interior and exterior spaces, integrating nature and the social environment into the living spaces we create. 
  11. Future-Proofing: We build with the vision of a sustainable, livable future. We challenge the status quo and promote innovations that make construction simpler, more ecological, and more adaptable – in short, future-proof.
